JOB SUMMARY

The Child Care Services Branch of the YMCA is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate part-time Preschool Child Care Site Directors for the 2018-2019 school year to join our team.

Under the supervision of the Program Director, Site Directors oversee a YMCA program for preschool children after school at off-site elementary school locations during the school year.

Through the leadership and service of the site director and their staff, the program provides diverse participants with age appropriate activities to promote a safe, fun, nurturing learning environment and memorable experiences with the YMCA.

Successful leadership in this position is defined as growth in student participation and quality enrichment, sound adherence to defined safety and educational standards by the staff, and positive feedback from parents.

 

PAY RATE DETAILS

Starting pay range: $9.50 to $10 depending on experience

Hours Available: Monday through Friday, Before School and After School  

School Sites: Harrison Hill and Holland Elementary Schools

 

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 21 years of age, with one year of college or equivalent, preferred.
  • Experience in supervision preferred.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Welcoming and inclusive, positive, service-oriented attitude with diverse groups of people regarding age, abilities, ethnicity, gender, race, economic status, religion, etc.
  • Able to fulfill all demands in spirit, mind, and body as a site director for child care services.
  • Committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA.
