Member Services Representative - Central Branch YMCA

Job Summary

The Central Branch YMCA is seeking enthusiastic and attentive part-time Member Services Representatives to join our team.

The Member Services Representative is an ambassador of the YMCA and delivers a high standard of customer service to our diverse members and community.

Under the supervision of the Membership Director, the Member Services Representative will work for consistent growth in new memberships and member retention levels.

Membership records will be accurate and up-to-date, as well as secure and confidential. Member satisfaction will be high and communication will be effective, carried out in a personal yet professional manner. 



Starting pay range: $7.25 to $8 depending on experience

Hours Available at Central Branch, 1020 Barr Street, Fort Wayne IN 46802:

  • Wednesdays, 12 p.m. - 5 p.m. 
  • Saturdays, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. 
  • Various closing shifts (6 p.m. - 10 p.m.) throughout the week
  • Saturdays alternating weekends 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. or 2 p.m. - 6 p.m.



  • Minimum of 16 years of age.
  • Reliable transportation to attend work.
  • Able to fulfill all demands and skills in spirit, mind, and body for membership services in accordance with YMCA standards.
  • Demonstrates effective communication andcustomer servicee skills.
  • Attentive to details, organized, able to handle money effectively, proficient at other clerical and computer skills.
  • Welcoming, positive, service-oriented attitude serving diverse members in regard to age, abilities, ethnicity, gender, race, economic status, religion, etc.
  • Team player willing to contribute to the culture, mission, and values of the YMCA



  • Free individual membership to all Y's in Allen, Whitley, Wells counties with the option to add family members for a small fee.
