JOB SUMMARY

The Jorgensen Family YMCA is seeking part-time School Age Child Care Site Assistants that are enthusiastic, energetic, and compassionate with a strong desire to positively impact the lives of young children. 

Under the supervision of the Site Director, Child Care Site Assistants support a YMCA program for school-age children after school in Southwest Allen County on-site at Jorgensen Family YMCA during the school year.

Through assisting the site director and their staff, the Child Care Site Assistant provides participants with age-appropriate activities to promote a safe, fun, nurturing learning environment and memorable experiences with the YMCA.

Successful leadership in this position is defined as growth in student participation and quality enrichment, sound adherence to defined safety and educational standards by the staff, and positive feedback from parents.

 

PAY RATE DETAILS

Starting pay range: $8.25 to $8.75 depending on experience

Hours Available: Monday through Friday at the Jorgensen Family YMCA 10313 Aboite Center Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46804

  • After School - End of School Day to 6:00 pm
  • Site Assistants can be employed up to 19 hours a week.

 

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Reliable transportation to attend work.
  • Able to fulfill all demands in spirit, mind, and body as a site director for child care services.

  • Positive, service-oriented attitude serving diverse groups of students in regard to age, abilities, ethnicity, gender, race, economic status, religion, etc.
