The YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team to work part time as the Association Trainer. 

Under the supervision of the District Executive Director out of Jorgensen Family YMCA, the Association Trainer will strengthen the YMCA’s mission through training designated staff in our association to be certified in American Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, Emergency Oxygen, and Blood-borne Pathogen.

This position will also coordinate and manage schedules for training that supports onboarding and training requirements for staff at all the association branches. 

This position will strengthen the services of our staff to our members and the community.



Pay range: $9 to $11 depending on experience

Hours Available: weekdays and evenings, also weekends, during regular YMCA branch hours.



  • Must be at least 21 years old with valid unexpired certification in all required training.
  • 2-3 years of related experience is preferred.
  • Able to fulfill all demands and skills in spirit, mind and body for all required training in accordance to YMCA standards.
  • Reliable transportation to attend work.
  • Proven training skills, including the ability to communicate effectively while working with diverse groups of people in regard to age, abilities, ethnicity, gender, race, economic status, religion, etc.
  • Team player with a flexible schedule for training (weekdays and evenings, also weekends) and a positive, service-oriented attitude.
  • Committed to contributing to the culture, mission and values of the YMCA.
