JOB SUMMARY

The Parkview Family YMCA is seeking part-time School Age Child Care - Site Directors that are enthusiastic, energetic, and compassionate with a strong desire to positively impact the lives of young children. 

Under the supervision of the Program Director, Site Directors oversee a YMCA program for school-age children before and after school at off-site elementary school locations in Northwest Allen County as well as on-site at Parkview Family YMCA during the school year.

Through the leadership and service of the site director and their staff, the program provides participants with age-appropriate activities to promote a safe, fun, nurturing learning environment and memorable experiences with the Y.

Successful leadership in this position is defined as growth in student participation and quality enrichment, sound adherence to defined safety and educational standards by the staff, and positive feedback from parents.

 

PAY RATE DETAILS

Starting pay range: $9.50 to $10 depending on experience

Hours Available:

Beginning August 13, 2018

Monday through Friday,

Before School 6 a.m. - 7:15 a.m. 

After School 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. 

School Sites: Northwest Allen County School Systems as well as at the Parkview Family YMCA 10001 Dawsons Creek Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46825

 

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 18 years of age, with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of college or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in supervision preferred.
  • Reliable transportation to attend work.
  • Able to fulfill all demands in spirit, mind, and body as a site director for child care services.

  • Positive, service-oriented attitude serving diverse groups of people in regard to age, abilities, ethnicity, gender, race, economic status, religion, etc.
  • Team player willing to contribute to the culture, mission, and values of the YMCA
