The YMCA Camp Potawotami is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated male or female individual interested in serving this summer as camp counselors.
Our resident summer camp serves over 100 campers per week throughout a wide variety of activities. Camp counselors lead skill classes in the morning and cabin activities in the afternoon.
This fun and safe program provides week-long overnight experiences for students ages 6 thru 16.
Each week summer camp counselors live with a fellow staff member and 10-12 campers of similar age, serving as role models, teachers, parents, nature guides, entertainers, and inspirations to their campers.
The position requires maturity, creativity, and a strong commitment to the YMCA mission to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.
PAY RATE DETAILS
Pay: $265 per week plus room and board.
Dates: from June 1st through July 19th 2019

Must be at least 19 years of age.
At least one year of college is strongly preferred.
At least one year of working with children and/or youth is preferred.
Willing and able to receive training in order to provide a safe and fulfilling summer camp experience
Able to fulfill all demands in spirit, mind, and body as a summer resident camp counselor
Positive, service-oriented attitude serving diverse groups of campers in regard to age, ethnicity, gender, race, economic status, religion, etc.
Team player willing to contribute to the culture, mission and values of the YMCA
