The Armstrong Early Learning Center of Whitley County Family YMCA is a seeking part-time Toddler Assistant that is enthusiastic, organized, and compassionate with a strong desire to positively impact the lives of toddler children ages 12 months to 20 months old.
Under the supervision of the Armstrong Early Learning Lead Teacher, the Toddler Assistant will help plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for an assigned group of toddlers and be responsible for their care.
They will also help develop friendly and positive relationships among staff, volunteers, parents, and promote a healthy, emotional, social, intellectual, and physical environment of each child.
Within one year of hire, the Toddler Assistant will need to have 20 consecutive hours of training; this is an annual requirement.
PAY RATE DETAILS
Starting pay range: $9.25 to $9.75 depending on experience
Hours Available at the Armstrong Early Learning Center of Whitley County Family YMCA, 950 East Van Buren Street, Columbia City, IN 46725:
Five Days a Week
Monday through Friday
MTThF 3 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Wednesday 2 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Minimum of 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
Reliable transportation to attend work.
Experience working with toddler children.
Organized, creative, consistent, compassionate.
Able to fulfill all demands in spirit, mind, and body as a toddler assistant for the Early Learning Center.

Free individual membership at all YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne facilities (Allen, Whitley, Wells counties); part-time staff have the opportunity for a small cost to add additional eligible members.
