JOB SUMMARY

The Caylor-Nickel Foundation Family YMCA is seeking a part-time Early Learning Center Assistant Teacher that is enthusiastic, organized, and compassionate with a strong desire to positively impact the lives of young children. 

Under the supervision of the Early Learning Lead Teacher, the Assistant Teacher will help plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for an assigned group of children and be responsible for their care.

They will also help develop friendly and positive relationships among staff, volunteers, parents, and promote a healthy, emotional, social, intellectual, and physical environment of each child.

Within one year of hire, the Assitant Teacher will need to have 20 consecutive hours of training; this is an annual requirement.

 

PAY RATE DETAILS

Starting pay range: $8.25 to $8.75 depending on experience

Hours Available: Monday through Friday afternoons at the Caylor-Nickel Foundation Family YMCA, 550 West Dustman Road, Bluffton, IN 46714

 

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Reliable transportation to attend work.
  • Able to fulfill all demands in spirit, mind, and body as a lead teacher for the early learning center.
  • Promote diversity by including all students - believing diversity is an asset, rather than a burden to be tolerated.
  • Positive, service-oriented attitude serving diverse groups of students in regard to age, ethnicity, gender, race, economic status, religion, etc.
  • Team player willing to contribute to the culture, mission, and values of the YMCA
